After more than 50 years, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
(MBTI®) instrument continues to be trusted and widely used around the
world for understanding individual differences and uncovering new ways
to work and interact with others. More than 3 million assessments are
administered to individuals annually -including employees of many
Fortune 500 companies. Carl Jung's premise was that everyone has innate
preferences. Differences in these preferences can
lead to conflicting and competing value structures and communication
styles that can hamper mutual understanding and cooperation. While this
diversity can be a useful strength, contributing to greater depth and
breadth of team competence, there will be natural communication
barriers within the team due to his or her innate preferences that
drive behaviors.
Such differences can be overcome, and the communication gap bridged, with mutual respect and practice.THE PROGRAM [what participants should expect] The MBTI® can be delivered to individuals as part of one-on-one coaching and as a highly interactive half-day or full-day workshop, utilizing both classroom and experiential training techniques to provide a truly unique learning experience.
